Nearby Lower Bay beach is very child friendly with small tidal pools for the little ones to play in. Sand loungers, wind surfers, kayaks and small sailboats can all be rented from several spots along the beach. There are no jet skis or similar personal watercraft available in St. Vincent & the Grenadines, making for safer swimming beaches.

Princess Margaret beach and Lower Bay beach are separated by a small headland area that provides good snorkeling. Just a few of the fish spotted here are: Blue Tangs, Queen Angels, French Angels, Banded Butterfly, Reef Squids, Octopus, Yellow Stripped Grunts, Bluehead Wrasse, Flying Gurnard, various Gobis and Parrot fish and if you're lucky, the occasional Hawksbill Turtle. Additional snorkeling opportunities also exist at the further ends of Lower Bay and Princess Margaret beaches.

• Snorkel in the Tobago Cays Marine Park
• Scuba dive the pristine reefs

• Take a tour of the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary
• Have a beach picnic and snorkel nearby deserted islands
• Relax on the veranda with a good book or watch the sailboats from all over the world come and go in the harbor
• Hike to the volcano's rim on St. Vincent or tour the oldest Botanic Gardens in the western hemisphere
